Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has signed into law four new interstate licensing compacts for medical professionals — doctors, nurses, psychologists and physical therapists.
The hope is that allowing these providers to practice here without having to get licensed here will make it easier to recruit them to Arizona.
For more on this, was spoke to Tara Plese, chief external affairs officer for the Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers, which advocated for the physician compact. Plese explained why there were so many interstate compact bills this year.
