What's Next For Arizona Education, Educators After Proposition 123?

Some ballots are still left to be counted, but supporters of Proposition 123 have declared victory for the K-12 funding measure.

A lawsuit has already been filed — and it may not be the only one.

However, Gov. Doug Ducey said the win helps teachers and schools and moves the state in a positive direction. He also said he plans to keep the diverse group of supporters at the table.

Supporters of Proposition 123 continually said throughout the campaign much more needs to be done to make that improvement a reality — and a lot of it centers on money. To dig in deeper, we’ve invited Andrew Morrill, president of the Arizona Education Association, and Matthew Ladner, senior advisor for the Foundation for Excellence in Education, to talk about it.
