More than a year after a settlement was approved, the federal judge involved in Parsons v. Ryan has found that prisoners in the state still aren’t getting acceptable healthcare.
At the one-year mark, the Arizona Department of Corrections was supposed to be at 75 percent compliance with the agreement — which involved more than 100 health-care performance measures. However, a number of prisons aren’t reaching that level.
