Has The Pac-12 Conference Lost Its Regional Identity?

The Pac-12 Conference holds its annual conference this week. Its dozen members will discuss issues such as TV rights, student-athlete welfare and head trauma initiatives.

Five years later, have the additions of Utah and Colorado made the conference stronger or has the Pac-12 lost its regional identity? And after nearly 40 years in the Pac-12, how do the Arizona teams fit in in 2016? And why is the commissioner of the conference making $4 million a year?

Those are the questions we posed to Jon Wilner, who writes about the Pac-12 Conference for the San Jose Mercury News.
