Prescott needs a new police chief and the search has reached the West Valley.
Glendale Police Chief Debora Black is one of two candidates who will interview this month to take the reigns in Prescott.
Black has spent roughly a decade in Glendale. Previously, she spent about 25 years with the Phoenix Police Department where she rose from patrol officer to assistant chief.
If Black leaves Glendale, she’ll be the second top-level officer to exit the department this year. Assistant Chief Matt Lively, who oversaw security for two Super Bowls and every Arizona Cardinals game since University of Phoenix Stadium opened, retired at the end of February.
