Wetta Ventures broke ground recently at ASU’s Innovation Center known as SkySong. The project calls for three to four restaurants near Scottsdale and McDowell Roads.
It will be the only food amenity within the 42-acre mixed use development.
Since several car dealerships left the Scottsdale Auto Park, developers have been eyeing the once-bustling area known as Motor Mile.
When it comes to dining options, Developer David Wetta says South Scottsdale is underserved. He tells KJZZ they received no financial incentives from the city.
The $5 million project will include a combination of dining patios and a 3,000 square-foot garden that could produce food for the restaurants which are expected to open by the end of the year.
