How Commercial Is Too Commercial For Residential Neighborhoods?

We’re still a little while away from full-on campaign season, yet in different parts of the Valley, you can still see yard signs. Instead of promoting candidates, though, these signs are supporting or opposing development projects.

In the area of 64th St and Cactus in Scottsdale, there was opposition to a project called Najafi Ranch. And, in Arcadia, the David and Gladys Wright House stirred controversy.

Steve LaTerra is the Urban Land Institute Arizona District Council chair and managing director of the real estate research firm Meyers Research.
