The Democratic National Convention Committee is holding its Southwest Democratic Platform Forum in Phoenix Friday and Saturday. The platform is the formal statement of goals that define what a party and its members stand for.

"You have a wide diversity, very broad thinking, policy positions," said said Rev. Leah Daughtry, the CEO of the 2016 Democratic National Convention. "Each person brings their expertise and interests and passion to the process."
