Desert City/River City

When you think of landscape art, what comes to mind? Maybe open meadows, calm ponds and forests?

Well, that’s not the subject of Tony Winters’ exhibit, called “Desert City/River City.” The New York-based Winters depicts the Phoenix-area’s watershed in a series of paintings.

It’s currently on display at monOrchid gallery through Sunday where Nicole Royse is the curator of Shade Projects.
