Business in Tempe has seen its ups and downs, like most cities, and there have been efforts to re-brand. Some of that has centered on the downtown area, Mill Avenue and how many businesses should be local and how many should be national.
Mary Ann Miller has been at the center of those discussions for about two decades. She’s been part of the leadership at the Tempe Chamber of Commerce for 21 years and its president and CEO since 1999.
Miller recently announced she’d be leaving the job at the end of August.
