Republicans Outnumber Democrats In Corporation Commission Races

For a number of years, the Arizona Corporation Commission has been a comfortable panel for Republicans. The last time a Democrat successfully won a Commission seat was in 2008. There are three seats up for election this year with a number of Republican candidates and two Democratic candidates.

So why only two Democrats for three seats?  Evan Wyloge of the Arizona Center for Investigative Reporting looked into the race.
