Scott Fire Burns 2,600 Acres South Of Grand Canyon

The Scott Fireburning south of Grand Canyon National Park has grown to over 2,600 acres.

While crews work to contain the blaze, a section of the Arizona Trail has been closed. The Kaibab National Forest has closed a 9 mile section of the trail beginning at the Grandview Trailhead, extending southeast.

The trail is expected to reopen later this month.
