Arpaio Addresses Safety Concerns At Republican National Convention

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is concerned about safety as the Republican Convention gets underway today.

Arpaio, a staunch supporter of Donald Trump who has appeared at many of his rallies, will also serve as an Arizona delegate for the candidate.

“I’m a little concerned because we’ve had assassinations before. Jack Kennedy— and I could on and on. Right now, we have cops being killed," he said, referencing the recent shootings of police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge. "We’re in a tough mood right now.”

Arpaio says he’s confident there will be enough security to protect both protesters and Trump in Cleveland.
