The Show Will Go On: Arizona Theatre Company Meets Fundraising Goal

The show will go on. Following a last minute push, the Arizona Theatre Company has met its $2 million fund raising goal to continue with its 2016-2017 season.

David Goldstein, the company's artistic director, said they’re excited to start their 50th season. He said they need to make sure to keep future fundraising priorities in order.

“The important thing is that we have to keep our foot on the gas and continue to raise money. We are a non-profit,” he said. “We take in 70 percent of our money in at the box office, through earned income. But, we do need to raise 30 percent of our budget every year to provide the services we do.”

The theater company said it received more than 750 donations from individuals in Phoenix and Tucson.
