U.S. Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Arizona.

While Arizona sent 58 delegates to the Republican National Convention, at least one prominent Arizona Democrat has also traveled to Cleveland this week. Congressman Ruben Gallego is participating in a counter-convention there to get out a message against Donald Trump.

"As an Iraq war veteran I want to remind people this person is severely unstable and unfit, he really doesn’t have the background or the deep thought I think is necessary to keep us safe and it would be a very big risk to have him as our commander in chief," Gallego said.

The counter-convention is on the ground in Cleveland highlighting why the Democratic ticket is a better fit for the country, Gallego said. The Democratic National Convention will be next week in Philadelphia.
