Health Officials May Be Vastly Underestimating Obesity Epidemic

The World Health Organization reported obesity rates have doubled worldwide since 1980, and that in 2014, more than 600 million adults around the globe were obese.

Health officials may also be vastly underestimating the problem of obesity worldwide, and the current method of identifying it could be the problem. Dan Hruschka is an associate professor of Global Health and Anthropology at ASU and has been working on this issue.
