Trees May Be Less Guarded Against Climate Change Than Expected

Trees may not be as big a safeguard against climate change as we’d expected, and that’s due, at least in part, to climate change itself.

That’s one of the findings of new research from the University of Arizona that shows what the future of North American forests might look like, and how climate change may play into that.

Margaret Evans worked on the study and is an assistant research professor at the UA’s Laboratory of Tree Ring Research and Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
