Writers often talk about finding beauty in things other people don’t necessarily find so attractive.
And that appears to be the case for poet Rosemarie Dombrowski’s new collection of poems that comes out this fall.
It's called "The Philosophy of Unclean Things." She's a self-described germaphobe (Example, she shook host Mark Brodie's hand, but washed her own immediately after.)
The poems in the book are a way to see life through the lens of a germaphobe or people with similar conditions.
"For me it's a celebration of oddity," Dombrowski said. "It's a celebration of difference. It's an opportunity to look at these things from a human perspective and come out on the other side maybe even more human."
Dombrowski is also the founder of Rinky Dink Press and a senior lecturer at ASU’s Downtown Campus.
