Yavapai County Holding Meetings About Sober Living Home Concerns

The head of Yavapai County’s Development Services department will hold two informational meetings about sober living group homes over the next two weeks.

Steven Mauk says misinformation about sober living homes in the unincorporated areas of Yavapai County is causing concern among residents who live there. He also says some residents are hearing rumors that sober living homes in places like the town of Prescott, which as KJZZ reported is one of the top 10 destinations in the country to get sober, could relocate to those unincorporated areas.

Mauk says the meeting is informational only, and that the less than a handful of sober living homes that do exist in those areas are currently being looked at by his agency.
