Arizona's largest private employer is getting bigger. Hospital and healthcare provider Banner Health has announced it is purchasing Urgent Care Extra centers in Arizona.
All 32 of Arizona's Urgent Care Extra centers, and more than 400 employees, will become part of Banner on October 1st and re-branded as Banner Urgent Care.
In a statement released Wednesday, the company also announced its plan to have 50 Banner Urgent Care Centers in the state by the end of 2017. Banner Health is in seven states and is Arizona’s largest private employer with more than 40,000 employees in the state.
