When Rain Falls, Drought Planning Doesn't Stop

Don’t let some of our monsoon-related rains fool you. The dramatic, long-running drought in Arizona and the Southwest continues. And that makes short and long-term water planning even more vital.

That’s what led the Arizona Department of Water Resources and the Central Arizona Project to hold a meeting Monday on the Colorado River, its conditions and contingency planning in case of a water shortage.

The Show got more details from Department of Water Resources Director Tom Buschatzke.
