A billboard on I-10 at 67th Avenue has a very simple phrase on it: Hey ISIS, you suck…from #ActualMuslims.
A similar message has also been seen in Chicago and has been put together by a multimedia grouped called Sound Vision. Longtime Valley resident Aneesah Nadir is a local representative for the billboard campaign.
"People are asking why don't the Muslims speak up about these extreme groups, why aren't you saying anything," "Well the Muslims are saying anything. The problem is our neighbors and people in the larger society aren't hearing it because we don't have the media resources or haven't had the media resources to get the message out."
