Longtime Arizona lawmaker Carolyn Allen died over the weekend at the age of 78. She had been in hospice care.
Allen served in the legislature for 16 years, retiring from the state Senate in 2010. Allen represented Scottsdale and was well known for being extremely straightforward with her views.
