Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump returns to the Valley Wednesday for a speech about immigration policy.
Throughout the election season, Trump has been critical of Latinos and Hispanics generally and has talked about forcing Mexico to build a strong border wall to separate the country from the U.S.
So how much has immigration policy been a part of this year’s campaign and has the emphasis changed because of Trump’s words?
"I think he says a lot of stuff that are buzzwords, more symbolic than substantive," said Lisa Magaña, professor in the School of Transborder Studies at ASU.
