How Sea Levels Can Help Predict Global Temperatures

It appears there’s a relationship between sea levels in the Pacific Ocean and global surface temperatures on Earth.

Scientists at the University of Arizona are trying to figure out what that relationship is. Cheryl Peyser is one of them. She’s a Ph.D. candidate at U of A who studies sea level rise and climate. She’s also the first author on a paper looking into this.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
