The University of Arizona Institute for LGBT Studies is hosting a first-of-its kind conference this week: it’s called “ Trans*studies: An International Interdisciplinary Conference on Gender, Embodiment and Sexuality."
It includes presentations on transgender linguistics and approaches to transgender community health, among others.
With KJZZ's The Show to talk about the conference and its significance is Eric Plemons, an assistant professor of Anthropology at UofA and chair of the conference program committee.
