In 2013, Arizona became a comfortable landing spot for Theranos Wellness Centers that were opened in Walgreens stores.
Then in 2015 — after a unanimous vote by members of the Arizona House — the company’s footprint was growing. The bill, HB 2645, gave the public the opportunity to order any clinical test from a licensed lab without getting a doctor’s prescription.
