AzMERIT Results Show Some Improvement, Lots of Work to Do

The state Department of Education has released the final results from the second year of AzMERIT testing – that’s the standardized English and math test that replaced AIMS.

And, while they show some improvement from last year, the majority of students are not passing the test, and do not score in either the proficient or highly proficient range in either subject.

Pearl Chang Esau, President and CEO of the education group Expect More Arizona, discusses the final results.
