Is North Carolina After HB2 Similar To Arizona After SB1070?

The Atlantic Coast Conference, or ACC, announced this week it would move its neutral-site championships out of its home state of North Carolina this school year.

The move is in response to the state’s House Bill 2, which critics say limits civil rights protections for the LGBT community. This follows other groups pulling out of events in the state over this law, including the NBA and NCAA.
