Police: 2 Students From 2 Different Arizona Schools Brought Guns On Campus

Two Valley students from two different schools got in trouble for bringing a gun on campus yesterday.

Authorities said a student at North Canyon High School in Phoenix was arrested after police confronted the individual, who then led them to the handgun’s location. Police say the student was cooperative and there was no intent to harm anyone. Still, they say the student could face charges.

Police in Casa Grande said a seventh-grader brought an unloaded handgun to school in his backpack. The teenager said he brought the gun to show it off and had no intention of shooting anyone. Police said they’ll forward juvenile referral charges of misconduct with a weapon and disruption of an education institution to the Pinal County Attorney’s Office for review.
