Arizona AG: Feds Should Re-Think 'Handing Over The Keys To The Internet'

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, along with the Attorneys General in Nevada, Texas and Oklahoma, have filed suit to try and stop the transfer of the agency in charge of coordinating internet addresses and names.

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, or ICANN, is scheduled to be handed over to an international body on Saturday.

To get a sense of what the agency itself thinks, KJZZ's The Show spoke with Brnovich and Chris Mondini, vice president for Global Stakeholder Engagement at ICANN.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
