The end is in sight for the Bell Road closure at Grand Avenue in Surprise, according to a release from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT). Bell Road has been closed in both directions a the intersection since April 1.
Construction crews plan to reopen Bell Road on Nov. 22, weather permitting.
ADOT is updating the busy interchange by making Bell Road more efficient. Bell Road stopped for Grand Avenue traffic and for the railroad crossing, and the improvements will change that.
The $41 million overpass construction will continue until spring of 2017.
