Grand Canyon National Park's North Rim.

If you’re planning a trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon to see fall color or hike, go sooner rather than later.

Fall brings cooler temperatures and access restrictions to Arizona’s north country and there’s a few weeks left to fully explore the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

The lodge, restaurants and shops close for the season on Oct. 15, according to the National Park Service website. Ranger-led activities like history lectures also end that day.

Campers have a few extra weeks to enjoy the scenery. The North Rim campground is open until the end of October.

The North Rim will be open for day use in November until substantial snow closes Highway 67 to vehicle traffic.
