Data To Help Arizona Third Graders Read At Grade Level

Arizona’s early literacy initiative has come out with new maps, showing how schools and districts fare in several key factors dealing with reading.

The MapLIT toolfrom Read On Arizona aims to help figure out what’s working and what isn’t, and to help students who need it. State law requires Arizona third graders to be reading at grade level before moving to fourth grade.

With KJZZ's The Show to explain the new maps is Terri Clark, Arizona’s literacy director.
