Writer and humorist Laurie Notaro is best known for some of her very funny and sometimes very personal essays from books like "The Idiot Girls’ Action Adventure Club" and "The Potty Mouth at the Table."
But her newest book is actually historical fiction, which involved a lot of interviews and a lot of research.
It focuses on three women who wanted to be the first to pilot a plane across the Atlantic.
KJZZ's Here and Now spoke with Notaro about " Crossing the Horizon." Notaro will be at Changing Hands Bookstore on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
