Saguaro cacti are a unique representation of Arizona and its deserts, and what we see in them can be dramatically different depending upon how sunlight—or moonlight—illuminates them.
Saguaros are an important part of photographer Mark Klett’s new exhibition—Border Markers—at the Lisa Sette Galleryin Phoenix.
So are the 100 sticks that Klett carved on various desert camping trips he was on.
We met Klett at the gallery to talk about his work.
His photos and sticks can be found at the gallery through Oct. 29.
