The VA Hospital scandal that has gripped facilities across the nation was first made public in reporting by Dennis Wagner of The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com.
The troubles included — but weren’t limited to — extended wait times for patients that, in some cases, led to deaths. Wagner has taken on a new project, traveling to VA hospitals in several cities across the nation to find out what’s going well, what isn’t, and whether anything has changed.
We spoke with Wagner about what he’s learned.
