Pat Tillman was a great football player at Arizona State who went on to an NFL career somewhat improbably as a 7th round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals.
Tillman became an American symbol of courage and sacrifice when he gave up a multimillion-dollar contract to enlist as an Army Ranger following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
NFL Films and the NFL Network have produced a new documentary about Tillman for their series, A Football Life.
We spoke with Paul Monusky, one of the film’s producers.
