Achieve 60 AZ is a statewide initiative to get 60 percent of working age Arizonans to hold certificates or college degrees by 2030.

Latino students in Arizona are underrepresented in the state’s most recognized high schools, and school districts with high Latino enrollment get the least amount of money from the state and local sources.

Those are just a few of the findings of a new report from ASU, called “State of Latino Arizona: Sparking a Community Conversation About School Funding.”

David Garcia, an associate professor in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at ASU is one of its authors, explains what the authors were looking to find out with this research.
