Mail In Ballot

An Arizona mail-in ballot.

As Election Day approaches, candidates have been pushing voters to vote early, and more than 1 million voters in Arizona have done just that.

As of Oct. 31, unofficial early voting results from the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office show more than 1.1 million early votes have been submitted statewide. Of those, almost 40 percent are from Republicans, while 35 percent are from registered Democrats. The remainder of the votes belong to other parties.

The Maricopa County Recorder’s Office says they have received 721,431 early votes. That’s about 33 percent of the county’s registered voters. Of the early votes counted in Maricopa County, 42 percent are Republican and almost 34 percent are Democrats.

The Arizona Secretary of State’s Office says those who requested an early ballot should return them in the mail no later than Nov. 1.
