Southwest, Jetblue Could Add Flights To Mexico City

Southwest and Jetblue airlines could soon be competing for new flights to Mexico City.

Southwest and Jetblue already fly to Mexico City. Southwest from Houston and Orange County, California and Jetblue from Orlando.

But now, 24 new slots could open up for low cost airlines at the “Benito Juarez” International Airport. Southwest and Jetblue have long been pushing to expand services south of the border.

It’s unclear where the new flights would go, though it appears at least some would connect to New York City. Both the Phoenix and Tucson airports already have at least one daily flight to a handful of destinations in Mexico.
