Maricopa County Officials Move Closer To Finishing Vote Count

The Maricopa County Recorder’s office is making progress tabulating the remaining mail in and provisional ballots.

As of Sunday, there were roughly 112,000 mail in ballots and about 55,000 provisionals that must be researched.

The updated numbers show several close races are seeing wider margins.

Democrat Adrian Fontes currently leads Republican Helen Purcell for County Recorder by about 21,000 votes. And the opposition to Proposition 205, which sought to legalize recreational marijuana, is leading by almost 56,000 votes.
