Tempe Police Searching Past Cold Cases For Connection To Suspected Serial Killer

A South Carolina murder suspect who has been linked to seven deaths has Arizona ties and law enforcement officers in both states are looking through years of cold cases for any connections.

Todd Kohlhepp was arrested in South Carolina earlier this month after a missing woman was found locked up in a shipping container. Since then, officials have found several bodies on his property.

In 1987, Kohlhepp was convicted of rape in Arizona. Now Tempe police are searching through unsolved homicides from the past thirty years for any possible connections to Kohlhepp, according to the Greenville News in South Carolina.

The newspaper reports Tempe police aren’t looking at a specific case, but that Kohlhepp admitted to shooting somebody in Arizona, which is also under investigation.
