Mexico Expected To Become The World's 19th Wealthiest Economy

The United States continues to have, by far, the most number of millionaires in the world.

The U.S. ranks number one and Canada number seven in the number of millionaires in the country.

According to the Global Wealth Report released this week by the Credit Suisse Research Institute, the U.S. has 13.5 million people who meet that criteria.

The neighbor to the south, Mexico, will soon crack the top 20.

The report says that while the U.S. will probably remain the engine of global wealth growth in the near future, it is emerging economies like Mexico that will see the fastest growth.

One indicator is the number of people who are millionaires. Mexico has 99,000 of them.

Mexico is soon expected to become the world’s 19th wealthiest economy.
