The Arizona Department of Transportation will build a new fence on a Sedona-area bridge. Officials said it is to prevent suicide jumpers.
Four people committed suicide last year by jumping off Midgley Bridge.
That's twice as many suicides as any other year in the past decade at the historic steel arch bridge along State Route 89A.
ADOT will attach a 10-foot-tall, chain-link style fence to the bridge.
The bridge construction will involve overnight lane closures and alternating traffic over the bridge.
The restriction will be in place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sundays through Fridays through much of December.
