Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) is based in Phoenix.

On Nov. 30, Phoenix-based TGen — the Translational Genomics Research Institute — announced a new alliance with City of Hope in the goal of making precision medicine a common thing for patients.

Precision medicine is being considered more for cancer and rare genetic diseases.

We went to TGen’s offices to talk with President and Research Director Dr. Jeffrey Trent, Chief Operating Officer Tess Burleson, and Associate Professor Dr. Kendall Van-Keuren Jensen.

Steve Goldstein was a host at KJZZ from 1997 to 2022.
