The Arizona Department of Transportation will periodically close a stretch of roadway along State Route 77 just south of Globe starting Monday.
ADOT said the road will be closed in both directions between Mileposts 154 and 161 Monday through Thursday for five hours a day.
The closures are expected to remain in place until March so crews can blast and remove rocks during the daytime hours.
