Arizonans Respond To Proposed New Interior Secretary

U.S. Department of the Interior

President-Elect Donald Trump has announced he plans to nominate Washington State Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers as Interior secretary.

That agency has a significant impact on Arizona, and we have two perspectives today on her nomination — starting with Patrick Bray, executive vice-president of the Arizona Cattlemen’s Association.

Perhaps not surprisingly, some environmental groups are less excited about McMorris Rodgers as new Interior secretary. Sandy Bahr is chapter director of the Grand Canyon Chapter of the Sierra Club, and Bahr discusses what she thinks of the nomination.
