Is Arizona Ready To Be A Big IT Player? Is It Already?

Lists of regions considered high-tech hotbeds often include the same names: Silicon Valley, the Research Triangle of North Carolina, the Route 128 corridor in Boston.

But a new report shows those lists should be expanded, and that Arizona should be on them.

The data come from the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, a non-partisan think tank based in DC.

Rob Atkinson is the group’s president. When Atkinson looked at IT jobs and the industry itself across the country, he discusses what kinds of things he was looking at and what he was hoping to find.
