Glendale will swear in its mayor and three city council members at Tuesday's meeting.

Mayor Jerry Weiers will start a second term after a close race with the city’s former fire chief.

Joyce Clark officially retakes her seat from Sammy Chavira, who drew scrutiny for trips taken on the city’s dime.

Ray Malnar begins a four-year term after winning a 2015 recall election. They’ll all be joined by long-time local politico, Ian Hugh.

Hugh has been Glendale’s vice mayor for two years. The council will start the process to appoint the next vice mayor in January.

Matthew Casey has won Edward R. Murrow awards for hard news and sports reporting since he joined KJZZ as a senior field correspondent in 2015.
